FAQ

Where are you based & do you travel?

I am based in the Peoria Illinois area, but I do travel all around Illinois & the surrounding states!

Are travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?

All sessions receive no additional travel expenses within 45 minutes of Peoria, IL. If you have decided to book one of my Premium packages you can enjoy up to 90 minutes of comped travel expenses. If you have decided to purchase any of my 3 wedding packages or my proposal package, you can enjoy up to 2 1/2 hours of comped travel expenses. Beyond those limits, my travel fee is $50 per hour of travel.

If you're looking to book in Chicago, there are specific days I have available with no travel fee.

Do I have the choice to keep my images private?

Absolutely! Your privacy always comes first. You are welcome to keep your images completely private for any reason, whether you do not share your children online, prefer to keep certain moments personal, or simply want your session to remain just for you. I completely respect this choice and will never share your images without permission. I simply ask that you let me know at the time of booking so there is no chance anything is shared unintentionally!

When will I receive my images?

For the majority of my sessions, I will edit and deliver 3-5  sneak peek images within 72 hours of your session. I like to deliver sneak peeks since, many times, having a professional photoshoot done is a big deal! The final gallery will be delivered within 4-6 weeks of your scheduled session.

For weddings & elopements, I will edit and deliver 20-40 sneak peek images within 4 days of your wedding. Your final gallery will be delivered within 8-12 weeks of your wedding.

Can I bring my pet(s) with to include in our scheduled session?

Pets are more than welcome to join us at outdoor or in-home sessions. I recommend keeping pups on a leash to ensure they don't get overwhelmed with the situation. I also highly recommend bringing someone along to watch after the pup while I grab some shots of you and anyone you're with alone.

Where should we have our session?

Your photography session can take place outdoors, in home, in my studio, or maybe you want to rent a studio you like. If you aren't sure where you'd like to pick as your location, I am more than happy to help. During our conversations, prior to booking, I will chat with you about some of my favorite locations in the area we could plan your session for!

What is the best time of day to book my session?

For outdoor sessions, lighting is usually best in the late afternoon or early evening hours right before sunset. That golden hour lighting is quite beautiful as long as the weather permits. I also love an overcast sky, so no matter what, we can make it work! Indoor sessions are great because we can really work with any time of the day! I tend to schedule my in-home sessions in the morning and early afternoon to allow for a bright enough home. I completely understand that this time isn't practical if you have little ones or school-aged children joining us for the session. After you inquire, we will discuss these details and find a time that works best for you!

What happens in the event of rain or other extreme weather?

If your session is scheduled for outdoors, I'll be watching the weather forecast the day of our session. If it looks like it will rain, I will be in touch via text or email and make the decision whether or not to postpone. I like to wait as late as possible to actually postpone because stormy skies right after or before rain are absolutely gorgeous, so if it’s not raining, we will be out there shooting! If there is other extreme weather coming during your sessions, such as tornados or high air pollution, we will discuss our options and reschedule if needed. In the case of any postponement, I will try to accommodate your session as soon as my schedule allows.
